Four Winds attempted the first ascent of Kyajo Ri in 2001. We are very intimate with this peak. Like Ama Dablam it test all the skills of the Alpinist. The peak is of fairy tale stature as it is a sharp pyramid rising straight out of the ground. The base camp is a flat grassy secret hanging valley where few foreigners have been. Only a handful of locals know of its location. The route is moderate going at Alpine Ice 2 at altitude. Beautiful, Remote, and challenging. We are usually the only team on this peak, no crowds.
